My Approach
There are many paths along the way that will lead you to the same destination. Similarly, there are various therapeutic approaches, any of which can lead you towards improved physical, emotional and relational wellbeing.
Selecting which approach is guided by evidence-based best practice, which aims to maximize the effectiveness of psychological interventions informed by using rigorously tested and proven effective therapeutic approaches through scientific research.
Regardless of the approach used, it is It is of primary importance that you feel safe to speak openly. According to researchers (Ardito and Rebellando (2011), "The quality of the client-therapist alliance is a reliable predictor of positive clinical outcome independent of the variety of psychotherapy approaches and outcome measures." In other words, a strong working relationship can make for successful therapy, regardless of the modality employed.
This being said, together we determine what will be most helpful to you. We monitor the therapeutic approach and make changes whenever it will be safely useful.
